Welcome to a new week. It’s Monday again. Some people like Monday’s because it is a blank slate to create the best week ahead. Others dread it and drudgingly go through because they have. I bring this up because I wonder which category you are in.  i personally love Monday’s. I get to start a fresh week with my goals in mind-pressing though obstacles and watching what I am capable of. 

Just because we are capable of overcoming and conquering our goals-doesn’t mean it happens, well, just like that. This is why we call our health program a “lifelong transformation.” Our health is truly something we will always be working on. We don’t just “arrive” somehow. 

I recently had a conversation with someone and she was telling me she had this dinner party, and this and that event coming up. Although she wasn’t making an excuse per say, those were her valid reasons in her mind as to why she couldn’t start to get healthy. I wonder just how many people are like her. I wonder how many people put off getting healthy because of the parties, the weddings, the travels, the holidays, the this, the that. I am sure she isn’t the only one. I know I can relate to that a little bit myself. There will never be a “perfect” time to take charge of your health except for the present. NOW is the time. And so many of us are capable of reaching our ideal health goals, but we keep kicking it to the curb when it is one of the most valuable things we have. Without our health, we don’t have a whole lot. 

I just want to encourage you with some fresh perspective this week that although you may not be where you want to be at with your goals, or maybe you keep self sabotaging yourself- that its a new week to RE-start. Thank God for do-overs and new weeks. I am excited to connect with you this week. If this encouraged you in any way, feel free to share this with someone else, I would love that.
