Hi friend,
Rarely do I hear about the word discipline and why it’s so important. I think practicing discipline is one of the strongest forms of self-love. Think about this for a moment. Discipline is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. Now if your reward that you have in mind isn’t important or big enough, well then you may have an issue that needs worked on.
Practicing discipline is loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you have ever wanted. So it all comes down to the big picture and what you really want.
Clarity and discipline go hand in hand. If you are crystal clear about what you desire, then it’s easier to set your intentions and practice necessary disciplines to reach your intended goal.
I’ll share a cool little client story. Before a client started working with me, she was used to licking the cookie batter, eating candy when she got home and never said no when food and snacks were offered to her. She thought that she possibly couldn’t say no, and therefore, she wouldn’t succeed on my health program. Do you want to know that the exact opposite is happening? She hasn’t given in once. She had been giving herself permission to eat anything and everything. And now with her goal in mind, she is practicing discipline which is a form of self-love. I knew she could do it all along, and now she believes she can too.
What disciplines do you need to implement to see some success?
As always, I love hearing about your wins. Feel free to share your struggles too, I may be able to help.
To your success,

Chicken Parmesan Meatballs
Ingredients:
1 lb 95% to 97% ground chicken
1/4 cup grated reduced-fat Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 cup reduced-fat mozzarella cheese, divided
1 1/2 cups Italian diced tomatoes, divided or 3/4 cup Rao’s marinara sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly spray a 13 x 9 inch glass dish with cooking spray.
Blend diced tomatoes in a blender or small chopper to resemble tomato sauce or until desired consistency. Combine ground chicken, Parmesan cheese, and spices. Add 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese. Measure out 3 tbsp of the blended diced tomatoes and add to the ground chicken mixture until completely combined. Form into meatballs. Since this recipe makes three servings, I made twenty-one meatballs. It is so much easier to divide the meatballs evenly when they are in increments of threes such as 15, 18, 21, and so on. Place meatballs in prepared glass dish. Bake for 25 minutes. Spread tomato sauce over meatballs and sprinkle with the leftover mozzarella cheese. Broil until cheese is melted. Divide the meatballs into 3 servings. Serve over zoodles or spaghetti squash! Enjoy!
Makes 3 Servings
Each serving provides
1 Leaner Lean, 1 Green, and 2 Condiments
(Still need 2 more Greens and 1 Healthy Fat)
