When it comes to getting healthy, (which often we associate with losing weight) the first thing we think is LACK. I’m going to have to go without!

I’m going to be so deprived. I’m going to starve, waste away, I CAN’T. The truth about physical health is nothing could be more incorrect.

It’s not about lack. It’s about provision. Just the right kind that you need.

So often we find ourselves in a physically unhealthy place because we have been living to eat, not eating to live. In the past 5 years as a Health Coach, I have grasped what proper nutrition is and created habits for myself and others to create transformation and lifelong change. That said, I am NOT perfect. I know you have heard me say this many times, but we will always be working on our health. There is no such thing as arrival. Of course we may arrive at our intended goal. But if we are not always working on our health, we won’t stay there.

I want to ask you what your mindset is this week in regards to getting healthy? Are you thinking positive thoughts like, “I get to fuel my body every 3 hours with high nutrient foods?” “I get to have good energy and not have to really think about what I am going to eat this week too much, since our program is mostly grab and go stuff.”

How we tell ourselves to think about something fuels our success! Did you just hear that? If you are dreading the length it’s going to take until you get to your goal then you have this whole thing wrong.

I want you to practice positive self talk about your health journey. One day at a time. Speak faith over yourself, you are going to win. You are going to conquer but you first have to conquer your thoughts first. Is this extra nibble of something off program worth it? You have to decide that. Either you can Stop, Challenge yourself and Choose- OR keep giving in and creating unhealthy habits and cycles.

A few thoughts to help you on your health journey.

  1. What will you overcome this week?
  2. Food is not meant to feed your emotions.
  3. A bad habit can be replaced, it takes about 8 weeks of doing something consecutively.
  4. Just because you weren’t successful last week, doesn’t mean you won’t be successful this week.
  5. You are stronger than you think and stronger than you give yourself credit for.

I appreciate you so much! Have a wonderful week, can’t wait to hear about your successes.
